The Evian U18 - Un ticket pour Las Vegas

For its 3rd edition, the Evian U18, held on 18, 19 and 20 September, welcomed 63 players, 45 boys and 18 girls to the course at the Evian Resort Golf Club.

The favorites on the podium

In the boys’ category, Maxence Mugnier was the winner with a score of 3-under, ahead of Clément Poletti (-1), respectively 52nd and 26th on the Amateur Order of Merit.

Oihan Guillamoundeguy takes the third step of the podium with an aggregate score of par and 6 birdies today.

A title-deciding playoff

In the girls’ category, Camille Banzet and Eléonore Hubert replayed the first hole to determine the winner. In the end, Camille was victorious thanks to a putt on hole no 1.

Adéla Cernousek (+11) brings up the rear, one shot off the leader. The player from Saint-Cloud, 12th on the Amateur Order of Merit, already produced a noteworthy Top 2 finish at last year’s event.

These young golfers could well follow in the footsteps of Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, the ideal ambassador for The Evian Championship Galaxy, who competed in the 3 youth events, or Lucie Malchirand (Evian Juniors Cup 2016 and 2017), who was selected for Las Vegas at the Evian U18 2018.

This brings to a close a whole month devoted to the new generation, with the Haribo Kids Cup for the under 12s and the Evian Juniors Cup for the under 14s.

Within the Evian Championship Galaxy, which is totally devoted to bringing to the fore and providing support to the champions of tomorrow, this event is a crucial stage in the future of these young talents, providing an incredible opportunity to gain access to the US universities.
