For its 12th edition held on 18 & 19 September on the course at the Evian Resort Golf Club, the Evian Championship Juniors Cup welcomed 18 teams and a total of 72 participants.
After two days of competition, the United States wins the 12th edition of the Evian Championship Juniors Cup for the second year running beating joint runners-up Spain and Korea.
The young American Alexa Pano was victorious on the Evian fairways thanks to a magnificent eagle on 15 and a bogey-free final round. Alexa, who finished third last year, posted 63 (-9) today to obtain an aggregate score of 135 (-9) over two rounds, 4 shots ahead of Danish player Amalie Leth-Nissen. The Russian Marina Polina who finished on 141 (-3) takes the third step of the podium.
In the boys’ category, the American Luke Potter finishes first with a final score of 34 (-10). His impressive first-round performance in 63 (-9) deserves a mention. Then come Spanish players Alvaro Revuelta and Alvaro Portillo, both 2 shots behind.
The 12 editions of the Evian Championship Juniors Cup have brought today's top players to the fore, professionals such as Jordan Spieth (world number 10), Justin Thomas (world number 4), Aditi Ashok and Leona Maguire, as well as the world's leading amateurs including Albane Valenzuela (world number 6) and Agathe Laisné.
