After the 2-day competition, the United States won the 11th edition of the Evian Championship Juniors Cup, defeating the defending champion Japan, with France taking 3rd place.

The young French player Lucie Malchirand was once again victorious on the greens in Evian thanks to a stunning eagle at the 18th. Lucie posted 67 (-5) today and carded an aggregate score of 140 (-4) for the two rounds, two points ahead of Japan's An Ichimura. The American Alexa Pano was on the third step of the podium on 144 (E).

As for the boys, it was the American Jackson Van Paris who came first with a final score of 140 (-4) followed by Japan's Kei Morishita (E). Portugal's Francisco Matos Coelho (+1) joined them in 3rd place.

The eleven editions of the Evian Championship Juniors Cups have brought some of today’s talents to the fore, professionals like Jordan Spieth (world n°2), Justin Thomas (world n°4) or Aditi Ashok, as well as the world’s leading amateurs including Leona Maguire (world n°1) and Albane Valenzuela (world n°2).

It’s worth keeping an eye on these young champions, who each received lifetime membership of the Evian Resort Golf Club at the prize-giving ceremony.
