Glorious weather for the key moment of the Jabra Ladies Open, the cut. Following 2 rounds of a full-on battle on the course at the Evian Resort Golf Club, 54 players on +4 out of the 120 competitors have made it through to the final round of the leading event on the LET Access Series.

Youth and experience share the top of the leaderboard. Natalia Escuriola, aged 22, made good use of her knowledge of the Evian Resort Golf Club, where she competed in the Evian Masters as a 14-year-old amateur! The young Spanish player carded an aggregate score of 135 (-7), 70 followed by 65, to take the lead in the event, 1 shot ahead of a regular face on the European Tour, Finland's Minea Blomqvist, aged 32, and ahead of French player Isabelle Boineau, aged 28, winner of the 2016 Ladies Scottish Open on the LET.

Heading into the final straight, the Spanish leader and the players following in her wake are serious contenders for the two places available to make the line-up for The Evian Championship in September. This will provide the 54 players who tee off tomorrow with extra motivation, in particular the French players, who with no less than 5 players in the Top 8 will be doing their utmost to perform well at home.

A special mention for the fine performance by Latvian player Laura Janson, who carded 64 (-7), the tournament record for the moment.
